CASA goes to the heart of an increasingly popular trend with Rénover pour louer
An amazing source of renovation ideas for anyone going into the short-term rental business
Creating living spaces that stand out and looks that generate clicks are key factors for success in the short-term rental business. That’s exactly what new CASA host and renowned designer Camille Charland Perez will be focusing on this winter on Rénover pour louer, produced by Datsit Sphère in collaboration with Quebecor Content. The show follows Camille in her day-to-day work, as she transforms her clients’ properties to create true success stories.
A Young Designer Who’s Hugely Talented and Always in the Know
A product of her generation, designer Camille Perez Charland is constantly active on social media in order to stay on top of all the latest trends. Sensing that the short-term rental phenomenon could become an interesting niche, she launched her own company three years ago to specialize in this clientele.
“Quebecor Content is proud to offer CASA subscribers a new, original made-in-Quebec concept dealing with an untapped market,” explains Ginette Viens, Vice President, Brands & Content, Quebecor Content. “Thanks to Camille Perez Charland’s expertise, those who wish to join the growing legion of short-term rental property owners will now have all the necessary tools to maximize their investment.”
Renovation, Decoration & Marketing: A Designer’s Life
The series’ 13 half-hour episodes will focus on space management and esthetics for houses, condos, cottages and apartments. We’ll follow Camille’s actual renovation projects every step of the way, right up until the units are put on the short-term rental market. To make it all happen, she’ll rely on experts from several fields, who’ll be sharing their knowledge about regulations, insurance and how to get the proper permits – all crucial information for this type of venture. And of course, budget considerations will also be front and centre throughout the process, as our designer provides lots of money-saving tips.
“This new type of show will speak directly to every property owner, serving as a true source of inspiration to help them add value to their home or living space,” adds Suzane Landry, Senior Manager, Stations & Programming, TVA Group. “CASA is all about partnering with experts who share accessible ideas, tips and practical information. Rénover pour louer is another brilliant example of this, and it speaks volumes.”
Short-term property rentals are becoming increasingly popular across Quebec, but some owners are having a hard time attracting tourists. Now, thanks to Camille Perez Charland’s home-improvement and marketing advice, their homes can become prime properties.
“The short-term rental offering has been growing steadily over the past few years, and on social networks, the competition has become quite fierce,” adds Camille Charland Perez. “Owners are coming to me to transform their rental units in the hopes of raising their occupancy rates – and their profitability. If there’s one crucial thing to remember, it’s that the ‘wow’ factor often drives the ‘ka-ching’ factor.”
