PREMIERES WEDNESDAY, MARCH 27 AT 8 p.m.
TVA is pleased to announce the addition of a new police drama to its TV schedule, starring Canadian actor Nathan Fillion in the title role. Starting Wednesday, March 27 at 9 p.m., you’re invited to follow “La recrue”, adapted from the ABC series “The Rookie”, which was sold in over 160 countries.
Meet our 40-something Rookie
John Nolan (played by Nathan Fillion, star of the hit show Castle) is in his forties and at a crossroads. His wife has just left him, his kids have moved out and he’s going through an identity crisis. When he finds himself in the middle of a bank robbery, he has an epiphany and decides to drop everything, move to Los Angeles and become an LAPD cop. Surrounded by recruits half his age, he’ll have to find his place on the force and overcome the many daily obstacles of being a rookie cop.
“La recrue” introduces us to new officers trying to learn the job as they go on their very first patrols. The oldest of the bunch, John Nolan, works with fellow rookies Lucy Chen (Melissa O’Neil) and Jackson West (Titus Makin). Each episode brings new experiences that help them become better cops – and sometimes lead them to question their motivations.
From the very first episode, viewers will be immersed in a unique, action-packed story that combines drama with humorous situations – especially when Nolan’s age is brought up, or when the officers go on exciting chases.
