BIZARRE STORIES FROM THE DIGITAL AGE

Montreal, July 9, 2019 – This fall, MOI ET CIE is once again catering to its subscribers’ insatiable appetite for bizarre stories and strange phenomena, with the premiere of the new documentary/reality show Distorsion, produced by Trinome & filles in collaboration with Quebecor Content. “Distorted” fans will also be delighted to hear that their favourite online investigators, Emile Gauthier and Sébastien Lévesque, will be back for a 5th season of the Distorsion podcast, airing simultaneously on QUB radio.

Hair-Raising Stories

Web and tech addicts Emile Gauthier and Sébastien Lévesque can’t get enough of strange stories from the digital age. They rummage through every nook and cranny of the Internet in search of obscure oddities, and then go on location to investigate them in depth, meeting with the people involved and uncovering conspiracies, paranormal phenomena, unexplained disappearances, urban legends, cold cases, cyberbullying and much more. The dynamic duo will pursue its mission in this documentary/reality series, unfolding in 13 half-hour episodes.

“MOI ET CIE viewers have always been fascinated with true stories,” explains Suzane Landry, Senior Manager, Stations & Programming, at TVA Group. “Building on the success of the podcast and book, the station is pleased to hop on board and bring the Distorsion phenomenon to its viewers. With its troubling, untold stories revealing the dark side of the web, this original series gives us a new perspective on the digital universe.”

Distorsion: Also a Podcast and a Book

Before becoming a TV series, Distorsion made its mark as one of Quebec’s most popular podcasts. It was then published as a book by Les Éditions de l’Homme, with 13 stories capturing readers’ imaginations. Season 5 of theDistorsion podcast will drop on QUB radio this fall, keeping listeners mesmerized with new – and weirder – stories. The previous four seasons, which have so far collectively generated over 1 million downloads, will also be available on the QUB radio app, as well as online at www.qub.radio.

“The addition of Distorsion to the QUB radio podcast library reaffirms the platform’s audio content leadership in Quebec,” adds Jean-Nicolas Gagné, General Manager, QUB radio.
