The audience for Fédérales 2019 – La soirée électorale on TVA and LCN peaked at 1.5 million on Monday, October 21, making TVA Quebec’s election night leader once again. The number was registered at 10:22 p.m., about 20 minutes after TVA became the first network in the country to call a Liberal minority.
Between 7:30 p.m. and midnight, an average of 945,000 viewers watched Pierre Bruneau and his team on TVA and LCN. Another 300,000 watched TVA’s election coverage on digital platforms (tvanouvelles.ca, tva.ca, www.journaldemontreal.com, www.journaldequebec.com and QUB radio at www.qub.radio or via the app), nine times more than the number of people who followed federal election night coverage on digital platforms in 2015.
Tvanouvelles.ca: Impressive online results
There were also nearly 800,000 page views on tvanouvelles.ca on election night, including more than half a million for the results page and the new interactive map feature.
